Have you or your friends ever encountered a phishing attack, accidentally authorized a high-risk contract, or come into contact with a blacklisted address without knowing it?
For most of us ordinary users, every address on the chain is essentially "naked" without security protection. Risks such as phishing and contract traps are everywhere. If you are not careful, it may become a free "cash machine" for hackers.
The on-chain security protection network GoPlus has launched a new browser security plug-in that starts with the protection of every transaction, helping users eliminate various risks on the chain and create a personal "on-chain security center."
How does the GoPlus plugin protect every transaction?
As a Web3 user, we may have long been accustomed to the anxious moments when clicking on unfamiliar links and authorizing unknown signatures. In fact, whether you are an old user or a new player, how to identify and avoid on-chain risks is always an unavoidable but headache-inducing problem.
This is why the GoPlus plug-in is worth a try - compared to other security plug-in products on the market, it is not only a tool, but more like an exclusive on-chain security assistant that can add a full-range risk protection barrier to every transaction and every operation.
It integrates five core functions: wallet security check, active pop-up warning, customized detection of transaction environment, AI Bot, and security to-do. It can monitor on-chain risks in real time and accurately identify them, helping users avoid phishing attacks, blacklisted addresses, high-risk transactions and other Web3 security threats.
Currently, the GoPlus plug-in supports mainstream browsers such as Chrome and EDGE (click here to download), and covers seven public chain networks: Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, and Solana.
1. Wallet security check
When operating on-chain, have you ever worried about the presence of potentially toxic tokens/NFT assets or legacy risky authorizations in your wallet?
If you are not sure whether your wallet has security risks, you can perform regular self-checks through GoPlus's "Wallet Security Checkup" service - it allows us to automatically check the assets and recent transaction activities in the wallet by connecting to the wallet to detect potential asset risks, interaction risks, potential risks, and real-time understanding of the wallet's security status:
Asset risk: Automatically detect whether you hold risky tokens/NFTs, whether you have received malicious transfers from unknown addresses, and which tokens have plummeted in price in a short period of time;
Interaction risks: Check whether the transaction was conducted during an abnormal time period and was not conducted by the user, check whether there have been transactions with black addresses, whether there have been large amounts of funds transferred out recently, whether the gas fees consumed in recent transactions are within the normal range, whether there are high-risk authorizations in the wallet, whether the wallet has NFTs stolen, whether there have been interactions with fake phishing contracts recently, etc.;
Potential risks: Check whether the wallet address has been exposed on social media such as Twitter, whether the stablecoins held are decoupled from the fiat currency to a large extent, etc.
2. Active pop-up warning
When we initiate each transaction on the chain, the GoPlus security plug-in will also perform real-time monitoring, scan transactions or website access behaviors in the Web3 environment, and actively identify high-risk transactions and websites.
Once there is a potential risk, the GoPLus security plug-in will automatically pop up a warning and briefly describe the risk type, reminding you to avoid risks in time.
Currently, the service proactively detects the security status of each transaction or operation and divides it into three risk levels:
Low risk (green): There is no significant threat and users can continue operating safely;
Medium risk (yellow): There may be abnormal behavior or no historical interaction records, reminding users to operate with caution;
High risk (red): Obvious malicious behavior is detected, such as interaction with phishing addresses or high-risk smart contract operations. Users are strongly advised to stop the operation;
In addition, the pop-up window not only displays the risk level, but also provides risk details, such as address transaction history, whether it is associated with the blacklist, abnormal behavior records, etc., to help us quickly understand the source of potential threats.
3. Customized detection of trading environment
At the same time, each of us can flexibly customize security protection strategies according to personal needs, including signature checks, transaction checks, phishing website detection, and Twitter phishing reminders, to provide a tailored security protection experience.
Taking "Phishing Website Detection" as an example, when the plug-in detects that we are about to enter a phishing website, a risk warning "This Url is phishing risk" will automatically pop up (the example is DefiLlama's former phishing link "defilllama", which will induce us to connect to the wallet and obtain signatures, thereby stealing assets).
4.AI Bot
In addition, when surfing on the chain, you don’t know which authorization behaviors may be risky? When you encounter problems, you don’t know how to quickly revoke high-risk authorizations?
When we encounter these security concerns on the chain, GoPlus's AI Bot is our 24/7 on-chain security assistant. Whether we encounter security issues in transactions, accessing DApps, signing operations, or other on-chain activities, AI Bot can respond instantly and provide professional advice and real-time support around the clock.
5. Safety To-Do
Do you often neglect to regularly check the security of on-chain interactions, or miss critical security alerts due to too much information?
In response to this, the GoPlus plug-in will regularly push personalized security recommendations based on on-chain behavior and environmental dynamics, helping users to understand the security status of current on-chain interactions in real time, and provide specific optimization operation guidance to ensure that every user is always protected.
In addition, we can also participate in various safety activities and tasks, receive rewards for completing tasks, and further improve our safety awareness and protection capabilities.
Why do we need an on-chain security plugin?
Faced with an increasingly complex on-chain environment, it has become increasingly difficult for users to judge risks on their own. Therefore, the significance of security plug-ins is to provide users with a real-time protection barrier, especially in scenarios with frequent transactions and complex interactions. However, since the plug-in itself requires certain authorization permissions, it is crucial to choose a trustworthy tool.
Brand reputation, institutional endorsement, and full-process protection capabilities are all important criteria for ensuring plug-in reliability and long-term stability. The advantage of GoPlus is that in addition to providing a full-process, seamless one-stop security solution, it has also received investment from top institutions such as Binance Labs and OKX Ventures.
Not only that, many users may have been using GoPlus' security services in depth without knowing it, because GoPlus has been widely integrated into various mainstream chain tools and ecosystems:
Wide coverage: It supports more than 30 public chains including Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Base and Sui, with a wide and stable service scope;
Mainstream platform/protocol adoption: Widely adopted and integrated by Trust Wallet, CoinMarketCap, OKX Wallet, Bybit, DexScreener, Dextool, SushiSwap, etc.
Serving mainstream user groups: The average daily call exceeds 34 million times, and the cumulative call exceeds 4 billion times, covering more than 90% of users' on-chain transactions. Its open and secure application platform has also served more than 12 million on-chain users;
In a sense, an on-chain security plug-in like GoPlus, which is endorsed by well-known institutions and covers the entire transaction process, is not only a tool, but also an important and necessary security barrier. You only need to download and install the plug-in without complicated settings, and it will start working immediately, allowing everyone to focus on their Web3 activities without having to worry about security issues all the time.
Whether it is trading, browsing DApp, or participating in DeFi projects, GoPlus can silently provide protection for users in the background, allowing us to focus more on on-chain investment and interaction.
In addition, security needs are always upgrading with the changes in the Web3 environment. GoPlus' security plug-in not only provides comprehensive security protection during initial installation, but will also automatically update and iterate functions in the future to continuously optimize its protection capabilities, including updating risk identification rules based on the latest attack patterns and vulnerability data, ensuring that users are always under the latest security protection in the ever-changing Web3 environment.
