US Court Reverses Sanctions Against Tornado Cash
The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the US Department of the Treasury's sanctions against Tornado Cash.
The court ruled that the smart contracts used by the platform are not considered 'property' under US law.
Sanctions were imposed in 2022 when the Treasury accused Tornado Cash of laundering over $7 billion.
