A large part of the reason for yesterday night's continued decline was that minutes from the Federal Reserve's latest policy meeting showed that Fed officials generally supported being cautious about future interest rate cuts while the economy remains solid and inflation slowly cools.
Minutes from the November meeting showed some officials said the Fed might pause cutting interest rates and keep borrowing costs at restrictive levels if inflation persists.
