Shytoshi Kusama recently addressed misconceptions related to the SHIB burn mechanism, helping the Shiba Inu community understand better. Through interactions on the social media platform X, Kusama explained how the token burn operates within the ecosystem while sharing insights about his busy work schedule.

Clarifying the SHIB Burning Mechanism

In a recent exchange with a community member on X, Kusama responded to a question misunderstanding the relationship between the project's Treasury and SHIB burning.

A community member speculated that adding BONE tokens to the Treasury would directly lead to more SHIB burning. Kusama clarified that this assumption is incorrect, emphasizing that the token, as a decentralized cryptocurrency, does not operate in that way.

Kusama emphasizes that the token burn is driven by utility and transaction volume on Shibarium, the project's Layer-2 blockchain network. He claims that his efforts are focused on forming strategic partnerships to enhance the adoption and activity of Shibarium.

According to Kusama, more partners and retail vendors using Shibarium will naturally lead to more burns since transaction fees also contribute to the burn process.

Increasing the Burn Rate

Recent data from Shibburn, a tool tracking asset burn activity, shows a significant increase in asset burn rates.

Reports show that within 24 hours, 4,851,105 SHIB tokens were permanently removed from circulation, reflecting a surge of 135%.

Weekly metrics also show an upward trend, with 203,001,453 SHIB tokens burned, an increase of over 56% compared to previous periods.

These numbers demonstrate the importance of continuous activity on Shibarium, as transaction volume directly impacts the SHIB token burn rate. The research team always emphasizes that higher adoption and utility are the main drivers of this process.

Kusama's Engagement with the Community

In the same discussion, Kusama revealed details about his busy work schedule. He mentioned working 20 hours a day for several weeks, dedicating time to manage community interaction, answering questions, and overseeing the project's development process.

Kusama's involvement extends to negotiating partnerships, which he considers crucial for increasing the ecosystem's utility.

While some community members expressed concerns about the project's direction, Kusama's response reflects a broader strategy to strengthen Shibarium and drive long-term growth for the ecosystem.
