PANews reported on November 26 that Yu Xian, the founder of Slow Fog, tweeted a reminder that a certain hacker organization has recently been found targeting the Crypto industry with directed poison attacks, using the method of impersonating VC to send fake meeting links, guiding victims to download infected scripts (such as 'IP_Request.scpt'), with the main attack target being Mac computer users.
If you fall victim, it is recommended to take the following measures immediately:
1. Asset Transfer: If the computer has a wallet (private key/seed phrase), promptly transfer the assets safely;
2. Account Check: Change passwords and 2FA for important accounts (such as Telegram, X, email, trading platforms, etc.) and check for any unusual login devices;
3. Virus Cleaning: Use well-known antivirus software (such as AVG, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, etc.) for a comprehensive scan, and use multiple software alternately for virus removal if necessary;
4. System Reset: If you are still not at ease, backup important files and then reset the computer, and individually scan the backup files for viruses.
Security experts emphasize that in the event of such an attack, swift action should be taken without any luck, otherwise the consequences may be irreversible. Strengthening security awareness in daily life and avoiding clicking on unknown links or downloading suspicious files is key to preventing such attacks.
