PANews, November 26 news, according to the announcement from Telegram Info (@tginfo), Telegram's dedicated auction platform Fragment has begun to enforce mandatory real-name authentication (KYC) procedures. Users must undergo identity verification to purchase services such as 'Star Coins', Telegram Premium, or anonymous numbers. The verification process is provided by the third-party service Sumsub, requiring users to submit an email, phone number, a scan of their ID, and a facial photo. Users can check the certification status of their Telegram account and TON wallet on the Fragment profile page. Currently, purchasing Telegram Premium and Star Coins through @PremiumBot or app stores is not affected. Decentralized markets (such as Getgems.io) still support the purchase of anonymous numbers and usernames with cryptocurrency without KYC, but it is uncertain whether these NFTs can be used long-term on Telegram. Telegram's official response to this change has not yet been made.
