When an altcoin rises continuously for 4-5 months, no matter how high it goes, you should at least take out the principal and some profit!
This is quite similar to the rule of the 2020-2021 coin season, and many people wonder what if the market rises in a straight line like in 2017-2018?
In 2017-2018, $BTC rose sharply but Altcoins did not - 2017-2018 was the early stage of the altcoin market, you could say altcoins back then were like memecoins currently, a few good ones still performed well and grew steadily like $PEPE $DOGE,.... while most would lead the trend for a while and then fade into obscurity
Back then, altcoins pumped hard and then crashed back to earth, Vietnamese people following the tele group made hundreds of millions to billions overnight and then ended up empty-handed!
In that purge, there were also some coins that became legends later like $NEO $XRP $ETH,... thus forming the culture of Kols shouting to hold until death regardless of the splits into 2, splits into 3 in 2021
So, this 2025, I believe the rule resembles the 2020-2021 season more reasonably, as it coincides with some macro data - of course, the time frame will not completely match, we should only look at it and estimate
