According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on November 26, the case of the hard drive containing 8,000 lost Bitcoins belonging to Welsh Newport IT engineer James Howells has seen new developments. His ex-girlfriend Halfina Eddy-Evans recently publicly stated for the first time that in 2013 she indeed cleared the hard drive containing Bitcoins at Howells' request.

Eddy-Evans said: 'He asked me to clear out unwanted items, including that hard drive. It’s not my fault.' At the time, the price of Bitcoin was less than $1, and at current prices, that Bitcoin is worth over $716 million.

Previously reported, Howells sued the city council for losing a hard drive containing 8,000 Bitcoins in a landfill, claiming $647 million.
