Odaily Planet Daily News: Suriname presidential candidate Maya Parbhoe stated that once elected, she will designate Bitcoin (BTC) as legal tender. In the first year, she plans to gradually replace the Surinamese dollar with satoshi (the smallest unit of Bitcoin) and ensure that all salaries are paid in BTC, aiming to establish a Bitcoin nation that is more deeply rooted in cryptocurrency than El Salvador. It is reported that Maya Parbhoe's subsequent plans also include dissolving the central bank, cutting taxes, privatizing public services, issuing national Bitcoin bonds, and promoting extensive deregulation.
