One of my observations in the industry is: VC money is easy to 'trick' because as long as the VC's influence is strong enough, they can sell chips to the community, making retail investors pay; however, it's harder to deceive project funds because they have been fighting on the front line for a long time and know what kind of projects are essential and which are just inflated.
For example, the fact that Mask Network can invest in many projects with considerable returns like Altlayer, Galxe, Catizen, RSS3, etc., is no coincidence.
From another perspective, if a project can receive investment support from many star projects, it must be something special. @skate_chain is a great example; it not only raised money from top VCs like Hashkey and Nomad but also received angel investments from projects like EigenLayer, Polygon, Manta, Axelar, Biconomy, Pendle, and Galxe.
Let me talk about the project mission and how to ambush from two perspectives.
