$XRP $ADA $DOGE Cryptocurrency scammers have made their way into BlueSky as the social network's audience grows
The decentralized microblogging service BlueSky has seen a rise in cryptocurrency scammers after the platform's audience exceeded 20 million people. This was noted by the publication Bleeping Computer.
One of these posts contained an AI-generated image of Mark Zuckerberg and advertised the pre-sale of fake coins "MetaChain" and "MetaCoin". The attackers used the brand logo and font of Meta Corporation when creating the phishing site. Another type of fraudulent post offers cryptocurrency giveaways, such as "free Satoshi Bitcoin worth $900,000" or "1000 USDT with a promo code."
The links under them lead to malicious sites. All this is complemented by fragments of popular TV shows, as well as hashtags.
