According to BlockBeats, on November 22, CoinDesk reported that the decentralized prediction market platform Polymarket announced that it would suspend French users from accessing its platform. This move came a few weeks after the French National Gaming Authority (ANJ) launched a gambling compliance investigation on the platform. The investigation stemmed from a French trader who made a large bet on Trump's victory in the 2024 US presidential election on the platform. Although Polymarket has implemented an IP ban, according to the French cryptocurrency news website The Big Whale, users can still access the platform through VPN. As of press time, the Polymarket terms of service have not updated the relevant restrictions.
