Shibarium Trustwatch has warned Shiba Inu community members to avoid scammers impersonating the project’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, in fake groups. The scammers promote fraudulent tokens and trick users into sharing personal information. This is not the first time such alerts have been issued this month, with the team having also warned users to be cautious of dubious individuals posing as experts and offering services with SHI and TREAT.
The Shibarium team advised users to follow the official X accounts of Shiba Inu, Shytoshi Kusama, Kaal Dhairya, and Treat for updates on the matter. The Shiba Inu community is often targeted due to its large size and active presence on social media platforms, and crypto scams tend to rise during a bull run period.
