North Korea's $41.5 Million Cryptocurrency Theft Case Confirmed
South Korea has confirmed that North Korean hackers stole $41.5 million worth of cryptocurrency from Upbit in 2019.
The theft was led by the Lazarus and Andariel hacker groups, tracked through IP addresses, language analysis, and FBI assistance.
North Korea sold 57% of the stolen tokens and laundered the remaining tokens through multiple exchanges.
