Dogecoin founder talks about Bitcoin's surge and how many coins he has
The founder of Dogecoin, Billy Markus, recently discussed the skyrocketing price of Bitcoin on Twitter and how much Bitcoin he personally bought. Of course, he remains as humorous as ever.
Markus said he is waiting for Bitcoin to reach 1 billion! But humorously, he actually doesn't even have 1 Bitcoin, only 0.006, which at current prices is worth just over 500 RMB.
Although he was joking, this statement also highlights the significant fluctuations and high risks in the cryptocurrency market.
Markus's cryptocurrency story
Markus, known on Twitter as "Shiba Inu Genius," previously mentioned that he sold all his Dogecoin in 2015 for over 10,000 yuan to buy a Honda Civic.
In addition to Bitcoin, he also bought Ethereum, but has lost money in recent years and had to sell some to pay taxes.
He often talks about the fluctuating prices of cryptocurrencies on Twitter, and once joked that Bitcoin suddenly jumped to 100 overnight, possibly meaning it increased significantly.
Dogecoin has also been trending recently
At the beginning of the month, Dogecoin surged by 83% in just one week, leaving Markus stunned as he tweeted, "What happened to Dogecoin?"
When asked if Dogecoin could reach 1 yuan, he said it was a bit difficult, but in the cryptocurrency market where anything can happen, who knows?
What's the current market situation?
Bitcoin recently surged to an all-time high of over 90,000 yuan and then fell back.
Dogecoin is currently around 0.37 yuan and even reached 0.43 yuan earlier this week.
Markus's comments highlight the volatility of the cryptocurrency market and also remind investors to be cautious, while maintaining a sense of humor.
