Software asset management company Flexera released its 2025 IT Priorities Report based on a survey of 800 IT leaders from the U.S., U.K., Germany, and Australia. The survey focused on how IT decision makers will set priorities for the coming year.
Among the top technology vendors, 37% of IT leaders surveyed said they are investing the most money now or will in the next year on OpenAI. The artificial intelligence research organization ranked fourth behind Microsoft, Google and Amazon Web Services, and tied with Oracle.
It is reported that this is the first time that OpenAI has appeared as an option on the survey list. Survey participants can also select multiple options.
OpenAI was able to take the top four spots because of its ability to work with businesses and allow employees to build custom AI solutions, which gives the company a "competitive advantage in the AI consulting space," the report said.
The survey also found that 42% of IT leaders said that integrating AI would bring the biggest change to their organizations, while 26% and 25% believed it would reduce security risks and IT costs, respectively. (Business Insider)
