Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of#XRPcompany Ripple, has given his assessment of the recent rise of the cryptocurrency. Garlinghouse, who appeared on Fox Business live, advocated for the election of#donaldtrumpas president following the price increase.
“XRP is up over 70 percent since the election, and I would point out that the best performing cryptocurrencies are U.S. companies or technology. This is not surprising. The SEC has been manipulating U.S. companies and technology, putting pressure on them. Now that the pressure is off, they are exploding in an upward direction. We should not be surprised by this,” Garlinghouse said.
Did he meet Trump?
Garlinghouse was also asked whether the price of XRP jumped more than 10 percent after he liked a tweet implying he had met Donald Trump. When asked if the rumor about the Ripple CEO was true, he said, “Like most of your guests, I can’t comment too much on the details.” “We finally have a crypto president,” Garlinghouse said of Trump. “The crypto industry has welcomed Trump, Trump has welcomed the crypto industry. There’s a sense of opportunity and innovation. I’m excited about what’s coming.”
