The German government missed out on 1.6 billion USD in potential profits by selling #Bitcoin too early.
4 months ago (July 2024), the German government liquidated 50,000 #BTC seized from the illegal streaming platform Movie2K. The total revenue was 2.88 billion USD, with an average price of 57,600 USD per BTC.
Now, BTC has reached the 90K mark.
Suppose if that amount of BTC was sold at the current time, the German government could have raised a total of 4.5 billion USD, which means an additional profit of 56% compared to the previous profit 😅
