Today, after bitcoin crossed the $80000 mark for the first time, Peter Thiel, CEO of Marathon Digital, is mocking German authorities after the state of Saxony held a massive bitcoin sale earlier this year. He estimates that by refusing to hold the coins, the German state missed out on $ 1.3 billion in profits.
