Elon Musk recently announced that Tesla’s electric Semi truck, originally meant only for the U.S., will now be available worldwide. This truck was even showcased in Germany, adjusted to meet European rules, and Tesla plans to make thousands of these trucks each year. The Tesla Semi is unique because it doesn’t run on gas. It can drive up to 500 miles on one charge and can recharge most of its battery in just 30 minutes, making it a strong choice for long-distance delivery.
Electric trucks like Tesla’s Semi can make a big difference. Although trucks are only 6% of the vehicles on the road, they create 25% of vehicle pollution. Electric trucks don’t produce the same harmful gases, helping to improve air quality. They are also quieter, cut down on noise pollution, and cost less to maintain since they run on electricity rather than expensive diesel fuel. By lowering pollution and costs, Tesla’s Semi could help make the trucking industry cleaner and more affordable.
