Highlights
To give users greater control over their personal data, Binance has launched a new feature that brings together multiple tools for exercising privacy rights in one convenient place and allows users to download a copy of their personal data directly.
With a few simple steps to ensure the security of their personal data, users can now access their full transaction history, review their profile and other important account information.
In line with our core values, we design our privacy program with our users' interests in mind.
At Binance, we prioritize the privacy and security of our users' data, and maintain strict standards that align with major privacy laws around the world and applicable best practices.
Our privacy program is designed not only to meet the most stringent levels of data protection, but also to give users greater control over their personal data, allowing them to manage their information transparently and securely. By constantly improving and complying with the latest developments in privacy, data protection remains a priority for Binance, ensuring that we respect and defend the rights of our users.
In line with this commitment, we are introducing our Privacy Center, a new feature that consolidates diverse tools for exercising privacy rights into one convenient place and allows users to automatically download their personal account data directly from our platform.
We are proud to say that we are among the first in the cryptocurrency industry to allow direct download of personal account data, simplifying the exercise of our users' privacy rights.
Optimal access for better control
Previously, users were required to contact our Data Protection Office (DPO) via email or web form to obtain a copy of their data. While our DPO team remains available through both channels to provide support, users now have the ability to download their personal data directly from the Binance app.
This feature is intuitive and allows users to get their information on demand, making it easier to access and have more control over their personal data. With just a few clicks, users can access their personal data stored by Binance, including basic profile information, withdrawals, deposits, and trading history. Additionally, users can generate a new report every seven days, ensuring they always have up-to-date information at their fingertips.
How to download your personal data on Binance
Here is a step-by-step guide to help you download your personal data using the new Binance feature:
Log in to your Binance account:
Open the Binance app or website and log in with your account credentials. Make sure you are using Binance app version 2.91.0 or higher to access this feature.
Go to privacy settings:
Go to the account settings section.
Select “Privacy Center” from the menu to access your data and privacy options.
3. Request to download data:
In the Privacy Center, you'll find an option called "Download Personal Data." Click there to begin the process.
Note: If you access Binance through a web browser, follow the same procedure through Settings > Privacy Center > Download Personal Data. The web page will look slightly different than your mobile app.
4. Enter the required information:
You will need to provide your email address and create a secure 8-digit numeric password to protect your data file. Make sure the password is unique and easy to remember, as it will be required to access the downloaded file.
Remember that your profile can only be downloaded once every seven days. If you need an additional download during that period, our DPO team will be able to assist you via the web form.
5. Receive a confirmation email:
Binance will send you a confirmation email with a link to download your personal data file. Check your inbox for this email and make sure to verify that the sender is legitimate to avoid potential phishing attempts.
The email will include a "Download your file" button. Click this button to proceed.
6. Download your information:
Once you click on the download link, your data will be downloaded to your device in an encrypted format.
Your personal data file will be available for review after entering your password. Make sure to store this file securely on your device.
7. Access and review of your data:
Once you've accessed it, you can open the file to review your profile, transaction history, and other account information.
For those who still need assistance with KYC document copies or have specific queries, our DPO team is ready to help. You can contact them through the web form.
