A recent governance vote has decided to keep the decentralized finance protocol Sky as the primary brand, rejecting a proposal to revert to its original Maker name. The decision, made on Nov. 4, saw 79% support for maintaining the Sky brand, with 63,874 MKR tokens pledged. Notably, four whales dominated the vote, holding 98% of the power for the Sky option. The rebranding from Maker to Sky in August faced criticism and confusion, prompting discussions about reverting. Despite a 50% drop in MKR prices post-rebrand, a recent proposal for deflationary tokenomics has seen prices recover.
