🪄 Exploring ERC-XXXX – Endgame Cross-Chain Protocol (ECCP)
The ERC-XXXX proposal defines a secure, self-custodial solution for cross-chain asset exchanges via atomic swaps. We think it's a great step forward!
Here are some of our key considerations:
Extended Address Standards: For non-EVM chains like UTXO, integrating an extended address standard such as CAIP-10 could improve identification of customers and traders.
Chain Reorganizations: Addressing potential challenges such as malicious reorgs, including determining responsibilities for reorgs within the token standard—whether it should be the sender, receiver, or flexible based on the deal.
Atomicity and Fees: The proposal must consider the variability of fees across pools, which could affect the atomicity of swaps and introduce opportunities for draining pools through transaction spamming.
