Banco Atlántida has been authorized in El Salvador as the first entity to manage and tokenize digital assets, under the Digital Assets Law in force since January 2023.
The National Commission for Digital Assets granted the license to issue and hold assets, highlighting El Salvador as a pioneer in FinTech after the adoption of Bitcoin as legal tender.
