According to Mars Finance, with Donald Trump scheduled to take office in January 2025, discussions about who will be the next chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) are becoming more heated in the cryptocurrency circle.
Crypto lawyer Jake Chervinsky pointed out that SEC Commissioner Mark Uyeda is considered a strong contender for the position. Uyeda is well known for criticizing the current SEC Chairman Gary Gensler's approach to crypto regulation, especially in October when he said that Gensler's policies had a "catastrophic impact" on the entire industry.
