A UK pension fund, whose name has not been disclosed, has become the first in the country to directly invest 3% of its assets in Bitcoin. According to pension consultancy Cartwright, the investment amounts to approximately £50 million ($65 million). Notably, this pension fund has invested directly in the cryptocurrency itself, rather than through proxy tools like ETFs. Its private keys have been allocated to five independent institutions to ensure security. Additionally, Cartwright plans to launch a Bitcoin employee benefits program that allows companies to directly pay Bitcoin into employees' wallets, with several companies already expressing interest.
