According to Foresight News, a New York judge ruled that the criminal trial of Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm will be postponed to April 14, 2025 to resolve the differences disclosed by expert witnesses. The trial was originally scheduled for December this year. Storm's legal team has applied to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit for an injunction to overturn the order regarding the expert witness, and the relevant hearing is scheduled for November 12.

Storm has been charged with three counts related to his work for Tornado Cash: conspiracy to facilitate money laundering, conspiracy to operate an unlicensed money transmitter, and sanctions violations. If convicted on all counts, he faces up to 45 years in prison.
