The odds of Vice President Kamala Harris winning the US presidential election are higher than former President Donald Trump’s in Michigan and Wisconsin, according to prediction market Polymarket. If Harris wins these two swing states, Pennsylvania would become the deciding factor in the election. This change came after the publication of a CNN poll conducted by SRSS, showing no clear advantage for either candidate.

Harris’ odds to win Wisconsin and Michigan increased by 5% and 6%, respectively, and her overall odds of winning grew from 2.3% to 39.6%. However, Trump still holds a 22.2% lead over Harris in overall odds. Galaxy Research’s report shows that Trump is leading in 18 different venues, but most results are tight.

Polymarket has also broken new records, with October seeing 220,682 unique traders, a 174% growth compared to September. The monthly trading volume reached nearly $2.3 billion, a 353% increase in one month, likely due to election-betting activity. Some recent rumors of manipulation on Polymarket have been disputed by experts, like Tarek Mansour, CEO of prediction market Kalshi.
