The cryptocurrency market in Ukraine will be regulated according to the norms of the European Union, since Ukraine plans to become a member of the EU.

Kateryna Rozhkova, first deputy head of the NBU, announced this.

"The crypto industry, which has an increasing influence on the financial markets, needs unified regulation, in particular the implementation of the Regulation on the Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA)," she said.

She also added that since Ukraine has received the status of a candidate for membership in the European Union, the country's legislation must be adapted to European standards.
