On October 26, 2024, the Marvin community held a stray dog rescue event in Kunming, a city in southwestern China. This story begins with a dog lover named Jia Jie.
Jia Jie is a dog lover from China. For 17 years, she has quietly rescued stray dogs. In her youth, a friend asked her to take care of a puppy, and from that moment, she developed a deep affection for dogs and gradually began to take in more. Today, she has rescued over 70 lovely dogs in Kunming, some given by friends, while others were abandoned. However, taking dogs to the city center has led to complaints from others, and due to objective issues like environmental and noise pollution, she has had to move several times. Although her family and friends do not understand her choices, she has always persevered in her beliefs. After countless hardships, Jia Jie’s rescue base has become a home for over 500 stray dogs.
However, the funds she can raise each month are very limited. We hope everyone can help share this, so more dog lovers can learn about the Marvin community and provide more support for Jia Jie and these poor stray dogs.
