On October 23, the Criminal Police Department - Quang Ngai Provincial Police announced the initiation of a case, prosecution of the accused and execution of an order to temporarily detain Dang Quoc Nhat (29 years old, residing in Phuoc Thien 2 village, Binh Hai commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai) on charges of fraud and appropriation of property.
Dang Quoc Nhat, director of BlueSea Travel and Tourism Company Limited, took advantage of his position to commit fraud and appropriate property in 2023. To have money to play virtual currency and pay off debts, Nhat fabricated information about fake tours to call on others to contribute investment capital.

Nhat tricked Mr. T.Q.N. (residing in Quang Ngai) into trusting and contributing capital. After receiving money from Mr. N., Nhat did not organize any tours but instead appropriated more than 2 billion VND to play virtual currency and pay off debts.
After discovering that he had been scammed, Mr. N. reported the incident to the authorities. The Criminal Police Department - Quang Ngai Provincial Police conducted an investigation and clarified Nhat's fraudulent behavior. On October 22, after consolidating the evidence, Quang Ngai Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain Nhat to serve the investigation.
