US Representative French Hill, the chairman of the US House of Representatives’ digital assets subcommittee, said he is “still optimistic” that two major crypto industry bills have a chance to advance in Congress by the end of the year.

“We need to see what’s possible in this lame duck session,” Hill said during a virtual speech at DC Fintech Week.

He said he is still optimistic about the possibility of consideration of the FIT21 and stablecoin bills. However, both bills are stuck in the Senate banking committee.
