Sui recently established a center in Dubai aimed at supporting blockchain developers and entrepreneurs. This center is the first in a global series of centers by Sui and is in collaboration with the local blockchain company Ghaf Group. Kostas Chalkias, co-founder and chief cryptographer of the Sui network, stated that he hopes this center will become a hub for hackathons and implementation activities, even in Dubai. He hopes this center can assist the government in its digitalization efforts and host monthly hackathons in Dubai to engage developers and entrepreneurs.
The Sui network, developed by former Meta employees including Kostas Chalkias, surpassed competitors such as Cardano, Near, and Aptos in total value locked (TVL) in February 2024. The Sui network is known for its fast, secure, and affordable infrastructure, offering unmatched speed and low, predictable fees, meaning costs can remain low even as demand increases. The Sui ecosystem is continually growing, covering multiple industries.
