KIC to Consider Virtual Asset Investment Only After Legal Stability According to The Herald Economy, Park Il-yong, president of Korea Investment Corporation (KIC), stated on the 21st regarding virtual asset investment, "It is something that can only be reviewed after legal stability is secured." CEO Park's response came in response to a question raised by Shin Young-dae, a member of the Democratic Party, during the National Assembly's Planning and Finance Committee's state audit. Shin inquired, "Do you have any plans to invest in virtual currency?" Shin elaborated, "KIC is indirectly investing in virtual currency by investing 4.2 billion won in MicroStrategy, a company heavily invested in virtual currency." CEO Park clarified, "Our investment is not focused on a specific company but rather a diversified investment in companies included in the benchmark index, and this company happens to be one of them."
