#Worldcoin will now be “World”. It is expanding in Latin America and will reach #Brasil , Costa Rica and Panama in 2024

The #World network, previously known as Worldcoin, continues its expansion in the region and before the end of the year it will begin operations in Brazil, Costa Rica and Panama, bringing more Latinos the possibility of a secure, private and more financially inclusive internet. This was confirmed by the team at Tools For Humanity, the technology company collaborating with the World network, during the inaugural conference of its first global event in San Francisco, California.

So far in 2024, World has reached five other Latin American countries: Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. The protocol designed to become the largest digital financial and identity network in the world is already available there, providing proof of humanity (PoH) and allowing users to control their personal data.

Since the launch of its humanity verification services, more than 6.9 million people have verified their World ID, a digital passport that allows human activity to be distinguished online through the process of proof of humanity. In addition, nearly 15 million people have downloaded the World App and more than 148 million transactions have been made through this digital wallet. World ID already has users in more than 160 countries.

To contribute to educating users about the importance of proof of humanity in the era of AI, the World network will open its first flagship locations in the world this year in Mexico and Argentina. These will be located in Colonia Roma in Mexico City and in the Abasto Shopping Center in Buenos Aires.
