Tapioca DAO successfully stopped an additional $2.7 million theft after a major exploit drained $4.4 million in Ethereum and other crypto from the platform.

The exploit affected its smart contracts, but quick actions by the team helped recover 1,000 ETH by moving it to a safe address. However, despite their fast response, the hack left the TAP token's price severely impacted.

The investigation points to possible involvement of North Korean hackers, likely the infamous Lazarus Group, known for a series of high-profile crypto attacks.

The U.S. government has been closely tracking similar incidents, as the Lazarus Group has been involved in several hacks in the crypto space, including attacks on platforms like Stake.com​
