[The founder of Dogecoin emphasizes the key role of Satoshi Nakamoto]

Billy Markus, also known as "Shibetoshi Nakamoto" on social media, co-founded Dogecoin with Jackson Palmer in 2013. He recently mentioned on Twitter the founder of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, and the HBO documentary "Money Electric: Bitcoin Mystery," which claimed to reveal Satoshi Nakamoto's true identity, but caused controversy.

The documentary presented several possible candidates for Satoshi Nakamoto, ultimately concluding that Bitcoin was created by Peter Todd. Todd, however, denies this and criticizes the accusations as harmful to him and his family. Many early Bitcoin supporters such as Samson Mow and Adam Back have also said that the world may never know the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. Mow believes that Satoshi Nakamoto may have foreseen the regulatory pressure that Bitcoin would face after its success and therefore chose to hide his identity.

Additionally, Polymarket users previously believed that Len Sassaman would be revealed as Satoshi Nakamoto, while Elon Musk speculated in 2021 that Nick Szabo was the Bitcoin creator. As for Markus, he believes that Bitcoin was created by Hal Finney and his friends. Finney was the first person to receive a Bitcoin transaction and died in 2014.

"You changed the world forever," Markus said in response to a joking user, highlighting the profound impact Bitcoin's founder has had on the world.
