According to CNBC, Trump 47, a political action committee supporting former President Donald Trump, has raised about $7.5 million in cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP, since the beginning of June, with nearly half of all corporate funds flowing into the election coming from the cryptocurrency industry. The funds were raised by multiple donors, with Coinbase, Ripple, and venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz accounting for most of the business donations. Documents show that at least 18 donors donated more than $5.5 million in Bitcoin to Trump 47, and another seven donated about $1.5 million in Ethereum. Trump said in his keynote speech that his campaign had raised $25 million from the crypto industry, but he did not specify the proportion between cryptocurrency and dollar donations.
