DO KWON’S CRYPTO TRANSFERS FROM PRISON ALLEGEDLY
Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon was caught with a fake passport in Montenegro in March 2023. However, since his devices were not confiscated until June, Kwon allegedly transferred crypto assets during his time in prison. These transfers are thought to have involved millions of dollars worth of Luna and TerraUSD. Evidence of the three crypto transactions was based on a mobile operator account in Podgorica. Montenegro’s Justice Minister has not yet decided whether Kwon will be extradited to South Korea or the US.
Bottom line: The crypto world is being watched more closely for illegal transactions.
