EU calls for rewriting MiCA
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has called for a review of the EU’s crypto asset framework (MiCA).
➡️ In its opinion of 16 October, ESMA recommended that the European Commission update several key aspects of the framework.
➡️ ESMA highlighted the need for changes to regulatory standards around disclosure of intentions to provide crypto asset services and licence applications for providers of these services.
