According to PANews, a recent survey conducted by Francisco Gavidia University in San Salvador reveals that only 7.5% of respondents use cryptocurrency for transactions, while 92% admit they do not use it at all. Additionally, only 1.3% believe that Bitcoin will be a major development direction for the country in the future. The survey also indicates that approximately 58% of respondents think the country is moving in the right direction, with the vast majority supporting President Bukele.
The survey interviewed 1,224 Salvadorans aged 18 and above, covering various aspects from the economy to security. It is noteworthy that El Salvador adopted Bitcoin as legal tender in 2021.
