TechFlow reported that on October 16, according to Jinshi Data, Atlanta Fed President and Federal Reserve FOMC voting member this year, Bostic, said that when he updated the Fed's dot plot in September, he expected the Fed to only cut interest rates by another 25 basis points this year. However, he said that his forecast is not set in stone and he will adjust it as needed based on the upcoming inflation and job market data. The Fed cut interest rates by 50 basis points in September and expects a series of interest rate cuts in the coming year to eliminate some of the policy restrictions it has imposed to reduce inflation.
