Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has shared his vision for the future of the blockchain, outlining key improvements to make the network faster, more secure, and more accessible to more users. 🚀
While the transition from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake in 2022 was a success, Buterin noted that some aspects of the network need some work.
In an October blog post, he proposed implementing single-slot finality to confirm transactions in 12 seconds, improving the user experience and security of the network.
Buterin also proposed lowering the minimum staking amount from 32 ETH to 1 ETH to make the process more accessible to smaller participants. This will help avoid the concentration of control in the hands of large players.
To improve security, he recommended a secret leader election technique to make it more difficult to attack the network.
These improvements are aimed at creating a faster, more secure, and more accessible Ethereum network. 🌐
