A large number of altcoins will face cliff unlocking this week

The TokenUnlocks report shows that cliff and linear unlocking are expected this week. Cliff unlocking refers to the release of all locked tokens at once after a specific time. Linear unlocking refers to the gradual release of tokens over time.
Among the currencies unlocked by the cliff unlocking method, ARB AXS and EIGEN have the highest unlocking volume; among the currencies unlocked by the linear unlocking method, WLD has the highest unlocking volume.
The linear unlocking method is considered safer than the cliff method because the former ensures that the market will not face the threat of volatility.
ARB, AXS, EIGEN, STRK, APE, PIXEL, ADA and PRIME are the main tokens scheduled to be unlocked by the cliff method this week. In terms of value, ARB will usher in the largest cliff unlocking this week, with at least $51.04 million worth of ARB tokens (accounting for nearly 2.65% of its circulating supply) to be unlocked. Unlocks of $43.4 million worth of AXS (6.08% of supply) and $40.05 million worth of EIGEN (6.01% of supply) are also noteworthy.
WLD, SOL, TAO, AVAX, SEI, NEAR, DOT, DOGE, SUI, FIL, BEAM, and ARKM are the important tokens that will be unlocked via the linear unlock method over the next seven days. Approximately $85.25 million worth of WLD tokens (at least 7% of the total circulating supply) will be unlocked this week, making it the largest linear unlock by value. Approximately $79.21 million worth of SOL (0.11% of supply), $33.86 million worth of TAO (0.68%), $20.80 million worth of AVAX (0.17%), $17.38 million worth of SEI (1%), and $13.85 million worth of NEAR (0.24%) are also important unlocks.
Large amounts of token unlocking often raise concerns about oversupply in the market. Basic supply and demand theory states that anything in oversupply will lead to a drop in demand, which in turn leads to a drop in price.
