😃I want to say a few words about Satoshi and why HBO hit the nail on the head with their documentary.

For those who don't know, Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonym of the creator (or group of creators) of Bitcoin. To this day, it is unknown who is behind this name, and HBO decided to hype it up.

âžĄïž Why is this important?

Satoshi's anonymity represents the anonymity of all crypto holders. Just like the creator of Bitcoin, you can, if you wish, maintain incognito mode and hide your income from banks and the state.

âžĄïž What's wrong with the HBO movie?

The HBO documentary Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery makes the controversial claim that Peter Todd, the developer of Bitcoin Core, is Satoshi Nakamoto.

But the film contains many inaccuracies:

🟣Timeline discrepancy: Bitcoin was launched in 2008, while Todd only started working on it in 2014, which contradicts the movie's theory.

🟣Misinterpretation of Sarcasm: Todd sarcastically stated that he was "Satoshi", which was used in the film to reinforce an unsubstantiated theory.

🟣Mistaken analysis of the BitcoinTalk post: The director suggests that Todd accidentally "exposed himself" when he continued Satoshi's thought and disappeared from the forum along with the creator of Bitcoin.

âžĄïž Who could be Satoshi?

I don't like to discuss this topic, because I think that none of us even come close to knowing who Satoshi really was.

In conclusion, despite the inaccuracies in the HBO film, it still does an important job, namely, introducing the public to crypto. This can be considered an additional signal that this market has a bright future.
