ChainCatcher reported that according to Cryptonews, a Nigerian court rejected Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan's request for bail due to illness, which triggered strong opposition from Binance.

A Binance spokesperson said in a statement: "We are deeply disappointed in the court's decision to deny Tigran bail, especially given his declining health. He has been illegally detained for more than 220 days. Tigran did not go to Nigeria as a decision-maker, and there is no reason to continue to hold him. We are committed to working with the Nigerian government to resolve the issue, but Tigran must be allowed to return home."

Binance has consistently stressed that Gambaryan has no substantive decision-making power at the exchange and that his prolonged detention raises humanitarian concerns. As Gambaryan's health deteriorates and his detention drags on, calls for his release grow louder. Binance, along with multiple international advocates, continues its fight for his freedom.

ChainCatcher previously reported that according to Bloomberg, a Nigerian court rejected the bail application of Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan, who was on trial for alleged money laundering and currency manipulation, on health grounds, and instructed the prison to send him to the hospital for treatment.
