PANews reported on October 11 that according to Forbes, Ryan Salame, a convicted former FTX executive, announced his next career move on LinkedIn: serving his sentence in a federal prison in Maryland. He posted on LinkedIn on Thursday, "I am pleased to announce that I will be starting a new position as an inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution Cumberland."
Ryan Salame was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison in May. Earlier reports said Salame had requested to postpone his sentence from October 11 to December.
