Odaily Planet Daily News: Bitcoin futures platform Bitnomial Exchange is suing the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), accusing it of over-expanding its jurisdiction over digital assets. The case involves XRP futures contracts that are already regulated by the CFTC. Bitnomial stated in the indictment that futures only fall within the purview of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and the involvement of the SEC will greatly increase the company's regulatory burden. Earlier news, the U.S. CFTC approved Bitcoin futures platform Bitnomial to register as a derivatives clearing organization in the United States in December last year.
