A week ago, I participated in the Web3 wallet staking event jointly launched by Babylon and Binance. During this process, I experienced a painful asset loss. I would like to share this experience here, hoping to give you some inspiration and warning.

## What happened

I participated in the staking campaign with 0.05 BTC, and I decided to stake 0.01 BTC in PumpBTC, a sub-project under the campaign. However, this decision cost me:

1. I waited for about 40 minutes after depositing funds, but did not see any transfer results.

2. Since the page was not responding, I refreshed the page

3. After refreshing, I found that the situation was even worse: 0.01 BTC had been deducted from my account, but my deposit was not shown at all on the PumpBTC end

After discovering the problem, I recorded the process of seeking help:

1. First contacted Binance customer service

2. Binance customer service asked me to contact the project party

3. Submitted an issue in the project's GitHub repository

- The project owner did not respond at all

- Instead, it attracted two phishing scam accounts

4. Ask for help in the Discord community

- Also encountered multiple phishing scammers

- The project owner ignored requests for help

- No substantive solution was achieved in the end

This experience left me with two main questions:

1. Is this a common situation in the cryptocurrency world? Or is it a problem specific to the PumpBTC project?

2. Have you ever encountered a similar situation? How did you handle it?
