Associate Professor Dr. Selçuk Topal, a faculty member at Gebze Technical University's Department of Mathematics, has developed an artificial intelligence-supported application that rates the security of blockchain, a distributed database system that provides encrypted transaction tracking.
Wanting to prevent users who want to make transactions in blockchain projects from being victimized by being scammed with their identity information, Topal decided to develop web and mobile applications.
At the end of 7 years of work, Topal designed the "Web3 Decision" application, which performs detailed scanning and checking of whether blockchains have reliable networks and contracts with the support of artificial intelligence.
In light of the information entered in the scanning section, the application provides users with information about the smart contract web details and weakness classifications, code quality and application security of the blockchain projects they want to invest in or transact with.
After scanning, users select projects that they can perform transactions securely with the data obtained.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selçuk Topal told AA that what makes the application he developed special is that it aims to find solutions to problems related to business logic and installation in blockchain technology.
Topal stated that the application provides users with information about the security level of networks, and said:
"The application provides a kind of security rating. Sometimes there are terms like 'token', 'coin', 'virtual money' that can change on the internet networks. Unfortunately, it has now reached a level where it can be abused. We look at whether the system loaded with the application has any vulnerabilities, whether it will defraud people or not, and whether there are business audits and interpretations that have 5-6 scientific theories behind it when a business is established."
Topal stated that there are also audit systems without artificial intelligence, but they do not know who controls this audit network and how they scan the network, and said, "The application analyzes the system very well and tells you where you need to be careful. This is not just about scamming. Many of our students want to establish startups and become entrepreneurs. There are many students and researchers in the world. They can enter our application in this way and have their projects analyzed here. We also aim to create an environment of trust with a system blended with scientific, mathematical, cryptographic, blockchain and artificial intelligence."
Topal, who emphasized that no one can intervene in the center of artificial intelligence, said, "Artificial intelligence is definitely not biased. When it brings anything or any project, it scans the results very precisely as they are and presents them to the user."
Topal stated that the application provided good performance and noted:
"If the code density or the scanning density it performs is very high, it scans within a minute. It does not just do this. There is a customer diagnosis part. It gives results immediately with image recognition supported by artificial intelligence."
